The soccer god’s must not be aware of television show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” because as we approach tomorrow’s College Cup Final between Notre Dame and Maryland at PPL Park, just outside the city, the sun’s warming rays have been nowhere to be seen.

Not that the teams or their fans made the trip to Philadelphia for the December weather. Maryland are here with the goal of trying to put last year’s disappointing pk semifinal loss to Georgetown behind them, and although this is Notre Dame’s first time to qualify for the College Cup, let alone the final, the Irish have their own demons to put to lay to rest.

Ahead of tomorrow’s big match GotSoccer spoke to Maryland coach Sasho Cirovski and his top defensive midfielder Dan Metzger, while also hearing from Notre Dame’s rugged central defender Andrew O’Malley.
