This week U.S. WNT head coach Tom Sermanni called up 31 players for a two week-long training camp Dec. 3-15 at USSoccer’s National Training Center in Carson, CA.

The camp will close out the 2013 season and will be the longest time Sermanni has spent with the team since taking over in January. They will open the 2014 season against Canada Jan. 31 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

Training will be filled with the usual familiar faces with the exception of a few injured players. Defender Amy LePeilbet is ready to jump back on the pitch after recovering from ACL surgery, and will be evaluated for fitness during training.

Several players that are currently overseas will join the camp at various times in accordance with international duty. Megan Rapinoe will not be present, as she is playing with Lyon in France. Midfielders Amber Brooks, Erika Tymrak and uncapped forward Sarah Hagan will arrive Dec. 9 for training  from Germany, where they are playing for Bayern Munich.

College standouts UNC defender Crystal Dunn and Virginia midfielder Morgan Brian will also be present, but both are currently competing in the 2013 NCAA Tournament and finishing up the college season.
