The U.S. U17 WNT is gearing up for a little trip to England Aug. 27-29 for a training camp that will include two friendly matches against England’s U17 women.
U.S. head coach B.J. Snow has called up 20 players to attend the training session, which will be vital preparation for the 2013 CONCACAF Women’s U17 Championship held Oct. 30-Nov. 9 in Jamaica. They will go up against England Aug. 25 and Aug. 28.
It’s going to be a serious few months for the U.S. girls, who will be looking to retain USA’s title after defeating Canada 1-0 in the 2012 tournament. This year, they will be competing with Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, El Salvador, Guatemala and two other Caribbean nations that have not yet been determined.
